Francis Abulu obtained Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the university of Benin, Edo State in 2019 and attended the Nigerian law school, Abuja from 2019 to 2020 and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in 2021.  

He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja.

Before qualifying as a lawyer, he worked with the Shell Petroleum Development Company, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria in the environmental department as a Remediation and Oil Spill Supervisor with the Pipeline Department between 2004 and 2010. He was also in charge of liaising with the oil bearing Communities, NOSDRA, State government officials to carry out joint investigative visits on oil spills and close out remediated sits. 

He joined E. K. Omare & Co as an Associate in the year 2021 and he is in charge of the pro-bono legal desk of the firm.
